The public can sip coffee and hear from candidates for elected offices at an event Friday morning in Amherst.

The forum, dubbed “Coffee with the Candidates,” starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway.

Confirmed candidates who will be participating, as of Tuesday morning, include: Erin Peradotto for State Supreme Court justice; Michael P. Kearns and Steven J. Cichon for Erie County clerk; Bernard A. Tolbert for sheriff; Vanessa A. Gluchefski for county comptroller; Kara A. Buscaglia for Amherst town justice; Thomas A. Loughran and Guy R. Marlette for Erie County Legislature District 5; Edward Rath III for Erie County Legislature District 6; Marjory H. Jaeger and Brian J. Kulpa for Amherst town supervisor; and Shawn A. Lavin, Joseph A. Spino Jr., Erin K. Baker and William L. Kindel for Amherst Town Board.
