The Bisons lost their second game in a row falling to the Indians 5-2 Tuesday night at Victory Field.

T.J. House was given the ball to make his 22nd start for the Herd. He put together a decent performance going 5.1 innings with three strikeouts. The Lefty yielded seven hits and three walks. Indianapolis had a big fourth inning scoring four runs on House to take the lead. The big inning for the Indians put House on the hook for the loss making his record 8-11 on the year.
Trailing 2-0, the Indians scored four runs with three singles in the fourth frame. Jacob Stallings, Jordan Luplow and Edwin Espinal all delivered base hits in the inning to grab a 4-2 advantage on the Herd.

The Indians added another run in the seventh on a solo shot of the bat of Luplow. The home run was his sixth on the season and it extended the Indians advantage to 5-2 over the Herd.

The Bisons put together a small rally in the ninth. Jon Berti reached on a feilder’s choice and a walk to Michael Saunders moved him into second. Gergorio Petit drove in the run with a single to left cutting the deficit to 5-3. However the comeback was cut short as Dan Runzler closed the door to earn his fifth save of the season.

Buffalo scored first with a pair of runs in the third. A free pass followed by a quick steal put Berti in scoring position. Saunders singled to put runners on the corners for the Herd. Petit then put down a great sacrifice bunt to score Berti from first. With a runner on second, Rowdy Tellez ripped a single to left allowing Saunders to score for a 2-0 Buffalo lead in the third.

Buffalo will look to end their two game losing streak whrnt hey take on Indianapolis in game three on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m.

Bisons Notes: Gregorio Petit was 3-4 with 2 RBI… Rowdy Tellez was 2-5 with a RBI…Danny Jansen was 2-4.
