WILLIAMSVILLE — Residents of Oakgrove Drive in late May called for parking restrictions on their street after an estate sale drew thousands of antiques hunters and curiosity seekers to a privately owned castle on an island in Ellicott Creek.
A public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Village Hall on a proposal to ban parking on the east and north sides of Oakgrove from Park Drive to Garrison Road.
Grass along the public right of way was torn up by vehicles, visitors parked in front of fire hydrants, and residents who objected were subjected to verbal abuse, several of them told the Village Board in late May.
