The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for much of Western New York and a Tornado Warning for portions of Erie, Wyoming and Cattaraugus counties.
Additionally the Buffalo Police Department warns that viaducts at Clinton & Babcock and Fillmore & Howard are filling with high levels of water. Traffic could be diverted in those areas.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Western Wayne County, Northeastern Erie County, Northern Livingston County, Eastern Niagara County, Orleans County, Monroe County, Genesee County and Western Ontario County.
