CUBA — A 26-year-old Cuba man who taught at four local school districts was charged Tuesday with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation by New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

According to NYSP, police were informed on Saturday of a possible sexual abuse case. Investigation revealed that Thomas M. Wight taught at Dansville School and started “Snapchatting” a 16-year-old victim over a course of time. Police say that While teaching at Arkport Central School, Wight had forcibly touched the 16-year-old victim off school property. He was arrested and processed at SP Amity before being arraigned in the Town of Friendship and remanded to Allegany County Jail on $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.

Wight also taught at Cuba-Rushford and Fillmore Central Schools in the past. School districts affected in this investigation have been notified.
