GRAND ISLAND — New York State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a pickup truck that struck a pedestrian on East River Road around 8:06 p.m.
According to NYSP, Troopers responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and determined that a newer black four-door Dodge pick-up truck with passenger side mirror damage struck an adult female on the west shoulder of the roadway and left the scene.
The female was transported to Erie County Medical Center and is in critical condition.
NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigated the scene.
