Buffalo pops up in the coolest places. Earlier this year, Buffalo City Hall showed up on the cover of the Batman: The Telltale Series video game. And now Buffalo’s other iconic building has shown up in the strangest of places: Twin Peaks.

Undoubtedly Central Terminal. (SCREEN SHOT — zoomed in)

Observant viewers may have noticed that a still shot of Central Terminal can be seen in the third episode of the show as Special Agent Tamara Preston, played by Chrysta Bell, plays a slide show for Gordon Cole and Albert Rosenfeld, played by David Lynch and Miguel Ferrer, respectively. The photo appears on a TV screen at 52:57 of the episode and is gone by 53:00.

Bell goes on to explain the known details of a brutal murder that took place in New York City (and we can assume Central Terminal is standing in for a NYC building). The murder has no tie to the Twin Peaks story line as of yet, but it will certainly be tied in in coming episodes.

Twin Peaks airs Sunday nights on Showtime.

Buffalo, of course, has also played host to numerous Hollywood productions in the past couple years including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Sharknado 2, and Marshall, as well as The American Side, which was filmed exclusively in Western New York. Local videographer Luke Haag also showed off Buffalo in a very unique manner last year in a “hyperlapse” film.
