NIAGARA UNIV. — The Niagara baseball team closes out its home slate this week, hosting Siena for a three-game series May 11-12. Niagara’s graduating seniors will be honored prior to the start of the game on May 12.

  • Redshirt-junior Cody Eckerson (4-2) has fanned 40 batters in 45.0 innings pitched. He leads the starting rotation with a 2.00 ERA.
  • Freshman Matthew Brash (5-0) remains undefeated on the mound. He has struck out 55 batters in a staff-high 65.0 innings pitched.
  • Senior Daniel Procopio (6-2) has struck out the most batters (66) and has held opponents to an impressive .189 batting average.
  • With a 10-8 conference record, the Purple Eagles are currently tied for fourth place with Iona in the MAAC standings.

On the Field: Siena Saints (17-24-2, 8-10 MAAC)
  • Senior outfielder Dan Swain leads the Saints with 42 runs, 59 hits and nine stolen bases.
  • Joe Drpich, a junior infielder, has a team-high 39 RBI and nine homeruns.
  • Junior infielder Jordan Bishop leads Siena in doubles with 13.
  • On the mound, freshman Brendan White (4-6) has pitched the most innings (57.0). He has an ERA of 5.05.
  • Sophomore Dylan D’Anna (2-3) has fanned a team-high 45 batters in 37.1 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 5.06.
