This month’s Network with the Network event will be held on Wednesday, May 24th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at The Amberleigh, located at 2330 Maple Road in Williamsville, NY. Attendees of the event will enjoy their choice of manicures, massages, haircuts and makeovers. In addition to spa treatments, there will be a lip sync competition with prizes for the winners. To promote networking, guests will also have an opportunity to enter to win a $25 gift card by meeting three new people during the event. Member sponsors of the event are The Amberleigh, Olear Realty Group, Caring Transitions, Mobile Dysphasia Diagnostics, and Venture Forthe, Inc.

“The Network in Aging is a long standing, vital organization which has a special place in the community among professionals,” said Kristin Surdej, current Network in Aging President.  “Our organization has grown over the years and has become eclectic in its membership.  Members are from for profit and non for profits alike.  Membership includes those in the field of aging and others from organization or businesses who serve those in the aging population.”

Once a month, select member agencies of the Network in Aging collaborate to develop a themed “Network with the Network” event. These complimentary events are designed for members to meet regularly in a variety of settings and are also open to area professionals who want to learn more about the sponsoring organizations and the Network.

The Amberleigh, a Platinum Member of the Network in Aging, provides Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care in Williamsville, New York. The facility encourages health and independence through innovative recreational, educational, health and wellness programs. The Amberleigh also offers privacy and freedom to live the way residents choose in comfortable surroundings.

Olear Realty Group, also a Platinum Member of the Network in Aging, is a full-service real estate company in Western New York since 1930. The group specializes in listing & selling residential homes, rentals, commercial sales & leasing, new home construction, property management, commercial & residential land development, local & international relocation, lease option & trade-in programs, appraisals, and mortgage placement.

Caring Transitions is a compassionate and professional solution for senior relocation, downsizing, estate sale and online auction services. They offer services such as locating, organizing and sorting personal belongings, facilitating moves, coordinating the change of address, professionally packing and unpacking, managing home sales, and more.  Caring Transitions is a Gold Member of the Network in Aging.

Mobile Dysphasia Diagnostics is a Bronze Member of the Network in Aging. They provide mobile FEES (Flexible Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) services to aid in the assessment and management of oropharyngeal dysphagia. Based in Buffalo, they now service the greater New York City area, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Venture Forthe, Inc. is a home care agency that serves those who wish to remain independent in their homes.  They offer services to people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, are living with or are showing signs of Alzheimer’s or other dementias or have a chronic condition and/or disability. Their specialized and comprehensive approach to home care has the goal to keep people in the community. Venture Forthe is a Bronze Member of the Network in Aging.
