ALMOND — A 22-year-old Wellsville man was charged Thursday with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 21.
According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Andrew Thomas Smith for operating his vehicle with no hands on the wheel. While talking to Smith, Troopers smelled marijuana, which led to a search and the subsequent discovery of a smoking device and an amount greater than 25 Grams of marijuana.
Smith was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Almond Court on Monday.
