NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION — The public is invited to attend the 2017 WNY Armed Forces Week Opening Ceremony at noon Sunday at RiverWorks, 359 Ganson St., Buffalo.

The ceremony will kick off the 2017 Armed Forces Week and will feature military color guards and music by the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas’, Post 264.

Admission is free and open to the public.

WNY Armed Forces Week is an annual event held since 1960. It is organized by the Western New York Armed Forces Week Committee. This year’s festivities are hosted by the United States Air Force in tribute to all men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. There will also be a luncheon and ball as part of the 57th annual celebration.
