ELLICOTTVILLE — A 47-year-old Hamburg man was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Martha Street.

According to New York State Police, Paul J. Kuebler was stopped for making an improper turn and subsequently determined to be intoxicated. He was taken to the Ellicottville Troopers’ barracks where he was found to have a .23 percent blood alcohol content — nearly three times the legal limit.

He was issued issued tickets returnable in the Village of Ellicottville for later this month.
