GENESEO — Third-seeded Geneseo took an early 7-1 lead and never looked back en route to a 20-6 victory over visiting No. 6 Buffalo State today in a SUNYAC quarterfinal matchup.

Krowel scored three times, including her 43rd of the year to help close the gap to 9-4, but the Bengals would not come any closer. The Knights netted the final two goals of the first half to lead 11-4 at the intermission, and continued that run with the first eight goals of the second half to pull away.
Geneseo controlled the ball for much of the game, outshooting the Bengals 35-12, with a 16-12 edge in draw controls.
