ROCHESTER — The Leadership Awards and Scholarships are awarded to Rochester Institute of Technology undergraduate students who have exhibited strong leadership skills through their involvement at RIT and in the greater Rochester community. This year, more than $40,000 was awarded to these outstanding student leaders, including:

  • Jacqueline Colello of Williamsville (14221), who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Markus Hines of Buffalo, who won the Frederick Douglas Scholarship Award – 2nd place.
  • Justin Namba of Henrietta, who won the Frederick Douglas Scholarship Award – 1st Place.
  • Courtney Puzio of Webster, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Elizabeth Rintels of Pittsford, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Alessandra Santarosa of Youngstown, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Din Tran of Cheektowaga, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Elise Walsh of North Tonawanda, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Olivia Williams of Buffalo, who won the Alfred L. and Ruby C. Davis Leadership Award Scholarship.
  • Abdul Hamidu Yussif of Rochester, who won the Outstanding Service Award for International Students.
