AMHERST TIMES

The next meeting about the Park/land swap is on May 3rd at 7 pm.  Those of you who have been active with this from the beginning understand how this has evolved and why, in my opinion, this has been the most positive option we have seen so far. This land will be developed one way or another.

With the land swap option it gives us some control and meets many of the goals we expressed in our letters and solves some of the concerns we have voiced about the proposals. There are neighbors who are late in joining the conversation who have been very vocally opposed to the current plan. Whatever your stance it is important that yet again, you make your voices heard.

I feel like we have come so far and it may all be for nothing if the minority is trying to speak for the majority. This isn’t about one or two families…it is about the entire neighborhood and impacts all of us. Please continue to be involved.

Thank you.
