BATAVIA — An 18-year-old Georgia man was arrested by New York State Police on Tuesday on a warrant that stemmed from a pursuit that took place on Saturday.
According to New York State Police, Troopers had attempted to stop Alsimeon Peterson of Hampton Ga. on Park Road. Peterson refused to stop and proceeded down the New York State Thruway where he was eventually stopped in Monroe County by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody.
On Tuesday, Peterson was released from the Monroe County Jail and turned over to Batavia Troopers. Peterson was charged with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, one count of third-degree fleeing a police officer and multiple traffic violations.
He was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail
