Rochester Red Wings pitcher Jose Berrios has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Racetrack Player of the Week for the period of April 6-16.
In two starts, Berrios has one win and has allowed just one unearned run over 14 innings pitched. He has given up seven hits and walked one while striking out 14.
Drafted by the Twins in the 1st Round (32nd overall) in 2012 First Year Player Draft…Recipient of the Jim Rantz Award as the Twins 2015 minor league Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season, the first back-to-back winner of the award…made major league debut 4/27/16 and picked up first big league win 5/2/16.
