JAMESTOWN — A 37-year-old Jamestown man is facing charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs with kids in the car — a Leandra’s Law violation — following a traffic stop on Route 60 on Tuesday.

According to New York State Police, Troopers pulled over Mark Holland for speeding. While speaking to Holland, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside his vehicle which resulted in a small amount of marijuana being found inside his vehicle. Holland was then charged with DWAI after failing multiple roadside tests and transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert. As two minor children were in the vehicle Holland was driving, he was additionally charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Holland was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Ellicott Court and released with orders to re-appear next month to answer the charges.
