LOCKPORT — Wheatfield Justice Erin P. DeLabio has received the unanimous support of the Niagara County Republican Party’s Executive Committee in her bid for Niagara County Family Court Judge in this year’s upcoming election in November.

DeLabio is running for the seat being vacated by retiring Family Court Judge John F. Batt.

In addition to serving as W​heatfield town justice, DeLabio is also the confidential law clerk to the Hon. Kathleen Wojtaszek Gariano.  She had previously served as assistant county attorney in Niagara County for six years.

“As an attorney, law clerk, and judge, Erin DeLabio epitomizes fairness and compassion,” said Niagara County Republican Party Chairman Scott P. Kiedrowski. “Her experience and understanding of the judicial system have prepared her for the challenges that accompany Family Court, and the Niagara County Republican Party fully supports her candidacy.”

DeLabio is a graduate of the State University College at Buffalo. She received her juris doctor degree from the School of Law at Queens College in 1992. She is recognized as a leading member of the Niagara County bar in the area of family and matrimonial law, having been involved in hundreds of family law, custody, visitation and child support cases.
