I sent the following letter to the leaders of our Town today, April 3, 2017:
To the Amherst Ethics Board, Town Attorney, Town Board, and Town Clerk:
I sent a memo to the Amherst Ethics Board, Town Attorney, Town Board, and Town Clerk stating I had information which should be grounds for Robert Gilmour to be removed from the position of Chairman of the Amherst Planning Board.
It was Gilmour’s responsibility to file a Finical Disclosure statement every year he was on the Planning Board. He has been on this Board going on 15 years.
The Financial Disclosure form was instituted so people could discover if there were any conflicts of interest in an individual’s personal information, employment, holdings, etc.
The new information is that he falsified what he wrote on his 2014 form and he hasn’t filed one for 2015 at all.
Gilmour said he worked at the John W. Danforth Company. I contacted the company and they informed me he left in 2013 and did not work a day in 2014 for them. Now we must ask ourselves, “Where did he get his income from in 2014?”
Mr. Gilmour turned in his form to the Town Clerk and the office stamped it 2/24/14.
The Town Clerk and Town Attorney informed me he never filed for the year 2015.
