BARKER — As part of the Centennial Celebration for Lions International, the Barker, Newfane and Wilson Lions are joining forces for a murder mystery dinner fundraiser at 7 p.m. April 29 at the Barker Fire Hall on Quaker Road.

The 1920’s murder mystery dinner, “Who Bounced the Bouncer?,” takes place at the Under the Falls
speakeasy, where patrons knock three times and tell Benny the Bouncer that “Melvin sent me.” But just as the party really starts, Benny is found dead.

Who did the dastardly deed? Was is speakeasy owner (and former actress) Sharlene Shaplin? Bandleader Dewey Legstrong? Gangster K. Medgar Cooper? Barfly Cal Apone? Pilot Lindy Charles?
Reporter Bernie Styles? Or maybe it was the Mayor, Wanda Harding?

They need your help to unravel the mystery.

Cost of the three-course dinner is $30 per person. There will also be a cash bar. The deadline for reservations is April 15. For reservations, call 716-778-7001, visit www.MarjimManor.com or email Roar@BarkerLions.org.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Olmstead Center in Buffalo.
