ALBANY — The Advisement Services Center at the University at Albany selected the following local students as Peer Advisors for the Spring 2017 semester:
- Aubrey Salamone of Rochester
- Samantha Broking of Fairport
Peer Advisors are a highly select and comprehensively trained team of students who seek to assist in the college transition. UAlbany peer advisors advocate for students and provide peer-to-peer support as well as direction to campus resources.
Peer Advisors act as ‘front line’ advisors in the Advisement Services Center each semester. They are trained to guide students through the intense course registration process while also offering support and insight to their peers. They are an essential component to the advising team ensuring that students get the extra support needed.
