NIAGARA FALLS — Niagara County’s annual Spring Career Fair — where local job-seekers are paired with local employers looking for quality workers — will be held from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheraton Four Points, 7001 Buffalo Ave.

Hiring representatives from 63 businesses will be on-hand, hoping to fill positions in a broad cross-section of local industries.

The spring career fair follows a successful job fair held in October that saw 29 attendees hired into positions with area companies. Niagara County’s Director of Employment and Training Department Donald Jablonski noted that 421 individuals attended the Fall Career Fair with 97 being interviewed for positions.

Jablonski is anticipating even higher turnout at Wednesday’s event.

“Our job fairs put potential employers and potential employees in the same room and provide them with an opportunity to interact in ways the traditional job application process just doesn’t,” Jablonski said. “We are always pleased when we produce a ‘match.'”
