Warren Edward Sharpe, of Niagara Falls, passed away at home, on Monday, March 21, 2017.

Warren was born February 21, 1966, in Lockport, NY to the late Phillip R. and Kathleen E (Porth) Sharpe.

The family moved to Burt in Warren’s early childhood, and later to Gasport where he grew up on Orangeport Rd. and attended Royalton-Hartland High School.

Warren served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and National Guard for 15 years. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves after High School, in 1985, as a Combat Engineer. He later transferred to the National Guard as a Petroleum Supply Specialist. He loved serving his country and the camaraderie with his fellow Soldiers.

Warren enjoyed the company of his fellow veterans and held the position of Sergeant at Arms with American Legion Post # 381, as well as spending time with friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for children, always bonding with them quickly. He was a familiar face at the Heart and Soul Mission in Niagara Falls and volunteered his time there on holidays. Warren had a heart of gold which is now being shared throughout his friends and family. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Warren is survived by his brother Allen (Conny) Sharpe of Lockport/Germany; Step-mother Bonnie L. Sharpe of Newfane; Step-bother David (Kim) Short of Newfane; Step-Sister Cathy Miller of Troy, MO; Step-brother Chris “Vinnie” (Diane) Short of Jerseyville IL; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Warren’s childhood church, First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport, NY, on Saturday, March 25th at 3:30PM.
