ALBANY — The College of Saint Rose congratulates the 205 Golden Knights student-athletes who were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for outstanding academic achievement.

The Golden Knights are among some 3,851 student-athletes from the conference’s 15 member schools that earned at least a 3.00 grade-point-average (4.00 scale). The 205 Saint Rose representatives account for 70 percent of the Golden Knights eligible student-athlete population. Of those honored, 17 earned a 4.00 GPA and 86 more recorded a GPA between 3.50 and 3.99.

Local Saint Rose students named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll include:

  • Michael Morris of Salamanca a junior on the Golden Knights men’s soccer team.
  • Maryellen Devic of Orchard Park a senior on the Golden Knights volleyball team.
  • Samuel Eckstrom of Olean a junior on the Golden Knights men’s basketball team.
  • Matthew Keenan of Fairport a freshman on the Golden Knights men’s basketball team.
  • Karissa Birthwright of Rochester a sophomore on the Golden Knights women’s basketball team.
  • Cameron Graupman of Rochester a freshman on the Golden Knights women’s basketball team.
  • Liam Guiton of Penfield a junior on the Golden Knights men’s lacrosse team.
  • Cara Kullman of West Seneca a junior on the Golden Knights volleyball team.

Each year, 4,500 student-athletes compete in conference championships, making the NE10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sports sponsorship.
