Allen E. Edwards of Lockport, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls husband of Mabel Foley Edwards entered into rest on Monday March 20, 2017, Allen was born in Tonawanda, NY on December 21, 1922, the son of the late George and Emma Thursam Edwards.
Allen served in the U.S. Army Air force during WWII, where he flew over 80 missions as a Navigator. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. Allen loved inventing things and was a member of the Eldridge Bicycle Club. Father of Elizabeth (Dr. Ken) Grant of Irving, CA and Laurie Ryan of Niagara Falls, NY. Step Father of Nancy (Jack) McHugh, Rick (Pat) Burrows and the late John Burrows. Grandfather of Kenneth and Alexander Grant. Step grandfather of John, Amanda, Justin, Brian, Trisha, John, John Rode and Angie. Brother of the late George and Raymond Edwards. Uncle of Gail, Kathy and the late Marsha. Also survived by several Brother and sister in-laws.
Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on FRIDAY March 31, 2017 from 4 – 6PM where a Memorial Service will be held at 6PM.
