The featured show for this coming week is All WNY Radio’s 11th Anniversary Party.
Eleven years ago, All WNY Radio was created to help give an outlet to the incredible pool of talented musicians living in the Western New York area. Launched when MySpace was king of social media, the site has carried on and grown over the past decade, changing hands twice, but never changing the goal of giving local talent a voice.
Seven years ago, the All WNY Music Awards were created to note the accomplishments of the artists, as well as show appreciation for the businesses and people who help make the Western New York music scene what it is.
Today, All WNY News is doing the same thing for news. It’s a new outlet, independently owned and operated with a goal of being a site people can count on for information about the news and events that matter most to them. From breaking news to community gatherings to feature stories about the arts, we do it all.
Geographically, All WNY consists of the eight counties typically referred to as “Western New York,” as well as Monroe County. This was originally decided at the onset of All WNY Radio — primarily because it made sense to include bands from Rochester in our 24/7 music stream. Today, it still makes sense to include news and events from the third largest city in the state of New York, which abuts the “Western New York” region.
We intend to grow. We intend to prosper. And we invite you to not only watch, read and listen … but to contribute and share. Whether you’re a business or organization looking to inform people of an event or a band looking to get your latest recording heard, this is the site for you. And if you just want to read the news and listen to some local music, this is also the site for you.
And come celebrate 11 years of All WNY News & Radio in style at Stamps The Bar! We’ll have balloons, party hats, cake, and a live show featuring Exham Priory, The Search and Find, Magic Honey, and Digital Afterlife! Tickets are $5 in advance through AllWNYDeals.com or $7 at the door. Presented by FTMP Events.
