Open auditions for the Amherst teen idol search will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. April 7 at the Boulevard Mall’s Center Court near Macy’s.
The contest is open to all amateur youth soloists ages 12 to 20. Participants must be prepared to sing a cappella on stage for up to two minutes.
Finalists will be chosen to compete in a final round on May 5 for prizes of a mall gift certificate and an “Amherst Teen Idol” trophy. A mall gift certificate and 2nd place trophy will also be awarded to the runner-up at the final round.
