BUFFALO — A 23-year-old man who had a naked baby in traffic on the 33 was charged tonight with the Buffalo Police Department and NFTA with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Police say Kaleb Evans had gotten into a crash around 7:45 a.m. where the Scajaquada and Kensington expressways meet, rear ending another vehicle. Evans then exited his vehicle with the naked child. An NFTA police officer intervened and took the baby to ECMC. Evans fled.

BPD picked Evans up this afternoon at the downtown bus terminal, where he reportedly had an outbound ticket for Atlanta, Ga.

Police later determined that Evans was babysitting the child, whose identity is being withheld.
