TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Employees at three Niagara County stores were charged today with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sales, accused of selling alcohol to a minor as part of an underage alcohol enforcement detail by law enforcement and the State Liquor Authority.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the underage enforcement detail was done between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 12 convenience stores. Nine of the store successfully denied the underage operative attempting to purchase alcohol, while three allowed the purchase to go through.

Charged in the sting were 26-year-old Megan Cartagena of Ransomville, an employee of Valero on Saunders Settlement Road in Sanborn; 29-year-old Kimberly Wilson of Middleport, an employee of Chapman’s Market on Ridge Road in Middleport; and 24-year-old Gohar Kashmiri of Amherst, an employee of Jiffy Mart in Lockport.

Cartagena is due in the Town of Lewiston Court, Wilson is due to appear in the Town of Hartland Court, and Kashmiri is due to appear in City of Lockport Court.
