BARKER — Barker Boy Scout Troop 26 visited the Barker Lions at their recent meeting. The Lions Club has sponsored the troop for many years. Recently, the two groups had worked together on an Adopt-a-Highway project.

During the meeting, the scouts present shared the projects they enjoyed and the goals they hope to accomplish. Scout Master Dan Heidemann gave a history of the troop and plans for the future. He told about the recent camping trip and the number of parents who are currently involved. After explaining the merit badge system, he praised the young men for their hard work to accomplish
so many different facets of scouting. Senior Patrol Leader Joseph Cantella related the activities and fun the group has.
