BATAVIA — Genesee Community College will hold its 6th Annual Arts Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 23 at the college’s Forum Stage.

The free festival offers numerous free workshops demonstrating creative endeavors such as: Asian brush painting/calligraphy, caricature drawings, Henna tattoos, weaving, watercolor painting, printmaking, felting, dreamcatchers and kite making.

In addition, handmade pottery created by GCC’s faculty and students will be available for purchase and all proceeds from this sale benefit GCC’s Food Pantry.

The event is sponsored by GCC’s Fine Arts Committee, Art Club and Education Club and is perfect for all age groups-from young children to senior citizens.

Arts Fest highlights Genesee’s dynamic fine arts program and gives people of all ages the opportunity to explore different artistic media and meet GCC’s faculty in fine arts.
