AMITY — A 40-year-old Newark man was charged Friday with aggravated driving while intoxicated after police were called to investigate a domestic incident.
According to New York State Police, Troopers investigating a report of a domestic dispute where a subject had driven from the scene located Conan B. Guard roadside with his vehicle on Hess Road. Upon interview, Guard was determined to be intoxicated and transported to SP Amity for processing where he recorded a 0.19 percent blood alcohol content.
He was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Amity Court on Wednesday.
