NIAGARA FALLS — A 44-year-old Niagara Falls man and a 25-year-old Niagara Falls woman were charged with welfare fraud related charges over the last few days, according to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour.

Jude Edwardson was charged with one count of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing. He is slated to return to Lockport City Court on Monday.

Tezirae K. Crittenden was charged with petit larceny, fifth-degree welfare fraud and second-degree offering a false instrument for filing. She has a return court date of March 14 in Niagara Falls City Court.

Both defendants were released on appearance tickets.
