BUFFALO — The St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Outreach Center, the pastoral outreach of the Office of Pro-Life Activities of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, has become a significant resource in the Buffalo and surrounding Western New York area.  The Center will hold its sixth annual benefit banquet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.

On behalf of the Office of Pro-Life Activities, Diocese of Buffalo, Bishop Richard J. Malone, Catholic Health and the Knights of Columbus, an announcement will be made about an exciting joint venture.

Bishop Malone will start the evening with opening remarks and Father Thomas Rosica, C.S.B., will be the keynote speaker.  A native of Rochester, N.Y., Father Rosica is the chief executive officer of the Salt and Light Media Foundation in Toronto, the first national Catholic television network in Canada.  From 2013-2016, Father Rosica was the English language assistant to the Holy See Press Office.   A long-time personal friend of the Molla family, he produced the video, “Love is a Choice,” about the life of St. Gianna Molla.

The first St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Outreach Center was dedicated in Buffalo in 2010.  Since that time, satellite locations in the Chautauqua area and Niagara area have opened.  The combined centers have served thousands of pregnant women and their babies.
