A 56-year-old Gasport woman is facing driving while intoxicated charges after New York State Troopers found her with a .22 percent blood alcohol content driving a tour bus that had been reported missing.

According to police accounts, at 10:47 pm, Troopers responded to St. Bonaventure University for a missing Grand Tour bus for the St. Louis University Basketball team. Troopers were able to locate the Grand Tour bus using GPS on an item on the bus. The bus was located and stopped 35 miles from St. Bonaventure University by Troopers on Main Street in the Town of Randolph. During the investigation, Linda L. Edmister was issued standard field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was arrested and transported back to SP Olean and processed, where she was found to have a .22 percent blood alcohol content.

Edmister was the driver who took the team to St. Bonaventure University originally and was going to provide transportation after the game. The St. Louis University basketball team was able to get another bus and continue to the next University.

Edmister was given appearance tickets for the Town of Randolph court for later this month.
