FINDLEY LAKE — A 29-year-old Mayville man was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on I-86.

According to New York State Police, Jeffrey Young was pulled over for a traffic violation and while speaking to Young, the Troopers observed used drug paraphernalia in plain sight inside the vehicle.  After searching Young and his vehicle, the Troopers secured 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and numerous items used to smoke the drug.  Young was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. He was then arraigned in the Town of Mina Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
