COLUMBUS, Ohio — University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Hodge was named one of 12 Mid-American Conference players to watch in 2017 by the Touchdown Club of Columbus. The junior linebacker was introduced at the 62nd Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards on Saturday in Ohio’s capital.

This past season, his first with the Bulls, Hodge made an immediate impact. The middle linebacker led the Bulls with 123 tackles, the eighth most in school history for a single season and second most by a player in UB’s FBS era. He posted double-digit tackles in seven games and his 10.3 tackles per game average ranked eighth nationally.

Of the 12 MAC players honored by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Hodge was one of just three defensive players.
