Donald T. Carter, 82, of Lockport, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2017. Born on December 23, 1934 in Niagara Falls to parents Donald M. and Wanda (Mickiewicz) Carter, he graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1952 and served in the Army for two years.

Don and his wife Carolyn (Hazen) were happily married for over 53 years. Don was a retired journeyman electrician for IBEW Local 237. An avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was an astronomy and ham radio enthusiast.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carolyn and four daughters, Lynne (Mark) Gambel, Debra (Robert) Goodlander, Cynthia Carter (Jack Coe) and Kathleen Carter. He is also survived by his sisters, Joanne Hopkins and Donna Hughes, several nephews and nieces.

A private service for the family will be held on February 7th at Otto Redanz Funeral Home, in the Town of Niagara. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice or Diamonds in the Ruff pet rescue.
