BUFFALO — A Buffalo man is facing drug charges following a raid on a Stewart Avenue home on Tuesday.

According to Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit was joined by members of the Buffalo Narcotics Unit, which executed a search warrant on the home. During the raid, the narcotics unit discovered over 600 bags of heroin packaged for sale, 10 grams of powder cocaine, and a quantity of crack cocaine as well as marijuana.  Along with the drugs, the Sheriff’s office seized various drug paraphernalia; among the paraphernalia, the narcotics unit discovered multiple aerosol cans with false bottoms used to conceal the narcotics.

The Sheriff’s office has charged Welton Miles, 37, with a felony count of criminal possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, a felony count of criminal possession of narcotics, a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and a marijuana possession charge.

The defendant was remanded to the custody of the Erie County Holding Center awaiting arraignment.

Miles is a three-time convicted felon for drug and weapons charges, two New York State convictions and one federal conviction, and is currently on state parole for an assault with a deadly weapon.
