BUFFALO — You’ve got to hand it to Community Beer Works. They know how to market themselves.

The increasingly politically active city brewery will unveil a new beer this afternoon — while taking a jab at President Donald Trump.

“Small Hands Witbier” is described as a Belgian Style witbier brewed using unmalted wheat along with spiced coriander and orange zest. It was created by CBW brewer Jeannie Alexander.

The brewery’s Facebook event page for the unveiling says, “In 2017, it should be OK to have small hands; there’s no need to be self conscious. People may indeed make fun of you, but be strong! The small hands community is a loving one and they want you to know they’re here for you. That AND they brewed a beer to celebrate small hands!”

“We want a world where people with small hands don’t feel the need to use Photoshop to make them appear larger in photos or feel shame for their small handedness,” it continues. “What’s it like to hold the whole world in your tiny little hands? We’ll never know, so visit us at 15 Lafayette this Friday for the release of Small Hands Witbier and hold THAT in your hands.”

The unveiling is slated for 3 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. Thirty-two-ounce and 64-ounce growlers will be filled for $9 and $14 respectively.
