BUFFALO — Fans of Canisius men’s basketball program will have the chance to win the game uniforms from the Golden Griffins’ meeting with cross-town rival Buffalo from the 2016 Big 4 Basketball Classic, which was held Dec. 17, in KeyBank Center.
Through Feb. 15, fans can go online to GoGriffs.com and bid to win official, game-worn Canisius men’s basketball uniforms that were styled after the uniforms that the Griffs wore during the 1980s. Auction winners will receive both the game jersey and game shorts from the Big 4 Classic game. The game jerseys feature a special patch recognizing the four Division I schools that make up the Big 4.
The minimum bid for these uniforms is $75 and there will be an additional charge for shipping for successful auction winners that are unable to pick up their prizes. Auction winners can also chose to pick up their uniforms at the Koessler Athletic Center for no additional charge.
Starting at noon, the link to the online auction can be found by HERE. The auction will run through noon on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
In these special “throwback” uniforms, Canisius defeated Buffalo in overtime by a score of 94-87. The 2016 Big 4 Basketball Classic Throwback Uniform program was presented by ComDoc and Lawley Insurance.
