
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — For the third time in a row, the Buffalo Sabres needed more than 60 minutes to complete a hockey game. And for the third time in a row, they scored in the extra five-minute session.
The Sabres bested the Nashville Predators 5-4 in the extra period after trailing Nashville by scores of 1-0, 2-1 and 4-2. Sabres goals came from Zemgus Girgensons, Jack Eichel, Brian Gionta, Kyle Okposo and Jack Eichel, again. The phenom’s 12th of the season came at 2:35 of the overtime period.
The Sabres, now 20-18-9, next take on the Dallas Stars at 8:30 p.m. in Dallas.
