GENESEO — SUNYAC leading scorer John Decker netted 41 point to lead host Geneseo to a 92-87 victory over Buffalo State in a league game this evening.

Geneseo answered with a 12-0 run of its own early in the second half to build another double-digit lead that it would never relinquish. The Knights led by 12 with five minutes remaining, but Buffalo State battled back and cut the lead to three late, but Geneseo sealed the win with a pair of free throws in the final seconds. The Knights were 10 of 23 from 3-point range, while Buffalo State connected on 8 of 25 from beyond the arc, including just 1 of 10 in the second half. Geneseo also held a 42-28 rebounding advantage that led to a 17-8 edge in second-chance points.
