BUFFALO — University at Buffalo’s track and field senior Joshua Gali was named Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Gali received this honor after an impressive performance this past weekend at the Upstate Challenge in Ithaca.

Gali had impressive performance at this past weekend’s competition. He took home a first place finish in the 200m at the Upstate Challenge. With a personal best time of 21.28 in the event, Gali hit a MAC Auto-qualifying time and is currently ranked first in the conference in the 200m. Gali also hit another personal best time in the 60m dash with a time of 6.92. This gave him a first place finish and helped lead his team to a second place overall finish.

This is the second MAC honor for the team in the 2016-2017 season.
