BUFFALO — For the third-consecutive week, Buffalo State men’s hockey team remained at No. 9 in the D3Hockey.com poll and No. 10 in the USCHO.com rankings despite improving to 13-3-1 with its fifth-straight win over the weekend.

The Bengals have been in the USCHO rankings since Dec. 5, reaching as high as No. 9 back on Dec. 12.  Buffalo State has remained at the No. 10 slot in the poll for four-straight weeks.

The Bengals have also been a mainstay in the D3Hockey rankings, sitting at the No. 9 spot for the past three weeks.  Its current ranking is the highest received in program history in the poll.  The Bengals have been in the D3Hockey rankings consecutively since Dec. 5, along with appearing in the poll twice earlier in the season.

The SUNYAC has three teams in both rankings, with Oswego (3/3) and Geneseo (4/4) joining Buffalo State in the top 10 of each poll.

Buffalo State ends its regular season with eight-consecutive SUNYAC contests, highlighted by road games at Geneseo (Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.) and Oswego (Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.).

The Bengals currently sit third in the SUNYAC with a conference record of 5-2-1.

Buffalo State heads to the road this weekend to take on Plattsburgh (9-8-1, 4-4-1) on Friday and Potsdam (6-10-2, 1-7-1) on Saturday.  Both games are set to face off at 7 p.m.
