WHEATFIELD — An unidentified person was taken to Erie County Medical Center Friday night following a car/pedestrian crash on River Road.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. When deputies arrived, they say the pedestrian was located in the westbound lane unconscious and the car was located on the north side of the road, west of the pedestrian.
Preliminary investigation shows the westbound car on River Road struck the pedestrian, who was in the westbound lane.
Investigation to continue by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld at this time pending notification of the family.
