BUFFALO — Buffalo State went on a late-fourth quarter run, but in the end it wasn’t enough as visiting Oneonta won, 69-57 in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the Buffalo State College Sports Arena.

Mariah Rosario (Flushing/Robert F. Kennedy) led the Bengals with 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting. She also chipped in nine rebounds, one steal and one block. Caleh McLean (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) was second on the team with 14 points and chipped in seven boards and two steals. Taylor Graham (Santa Rosa, CA/Maria Carrillo) scored 11 points and had a game-high seven assists. Buffalo State and Oneonta played an even opening quarter, with the Red Dragons holding a slight 18-15 edge heading into the second.

Much like the first, the second quarter was also even, with Oneonta taking a 33-27 lead into halftime. Oneonta came out of the half on fire, hitting its first five shots to jump out to a 45-30 lead three minutes into the third quarter. Buffalo State regained its footing, but by the time it did Oneonta was ahead 56-38 heading into the fourth.

The Bengals went on a 12-5 run to open the fourth quarter to get back into the game, trailing 61-50 with 5:36 left.  Oneonta withstood the pressure, and closed out the game, 69-57.

Buffalo State is right back at it Saturday as it hosts New Paltz in a SUNYAC game at 4 p.m. at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.
