BUFFALO — As many as 3,000 people marched in protest downtown today a day after the inauguration of Donald Trump as the nation’s 45th president.

The “No Hate, No Mandate March and Rally,” was held in conjunction with the Women’s March on Washington, which saw women from across the country descend on the nation’s capitol in solidarity for women’s rights and in opposition to the Trump/Pence administration. The Buffalo march was organized and sponsored by the WNY Peace Center and Riverside Salem UCC.

The Buffalo Police Department, which estimated the crowd, said there were no arrests reported.

More than 250 photos of the march were posted to Instagram using the tag #buffaloresistance, including the one below from BuffaBlog writer Cliff Parks Jr. (bflodude,) who highlighted several music groups who are sympathetic to the cause.
