BROCKPORT — Buffalo State overcame a double-digit deficit to force overtime but only scored one point in the extra session as host Brockport pulled away for a 56-46 victory tonight in a SUNYAC game.

The Golden Eagles maintained the six-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but the Bengals opened the frame scoring the first seven points to take their first lead. A Rosario layup with 44 seconds remaining put the Bengals back in front 45-44, but Brockport hit 1 of 2 free throws with 16 seconds left to even the score. The Bengals had a chance at the end of regulation, but turned the ball over.

Buffalo State scored the first point of the overtime, but would not score again as Brockport closed the contest on an 11-0 run. Brockport outrebounded Buffalo State 51-40, and outscored the Bengals 14-5 at the free throw line.
